Official Entry Formalities 

There are few official obligations needed to be completed to be a part of the Ziro Music Festival 2024.

  • ILP(Inline Permit) : All Indian Nationals apart from the natives of Arunachal Pradesh need ILP to enter any place in Arunachal Pradesh. 

The ILP can be acquired online or can be issued by any Government Authorities of Arunachal Pradesh.

  • PAP(Protected Area Permit) : All foreign nationalities are required to have a PAP for entering into Arunachal Pradesh.

The permit can be obtained from the All Indian Missions Abroad or from All Foreigners Regional Registration Officers (FRRO) at Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata or Chief Immigration Officer, Chennai or Home Commissioner, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar.

  • By Air : Lilabari and Tezpur are the nearest airports to the valley but the flight schedules here are unreliable. 

Hence, it is advisable to fly to Guwahati Airport and then travel to Ziro via a taxi or public bus.

  • By Rail : The nearest accessible railhead is Naharlagun and is about 3 hours away from Ziro. One can board a train to travel overnight from Guwahati to Naharlagun.
  • By Bus : It ideally takes seven hours from Guwahati or Jorhat, if road conditions are good. 

Public transports are also available. Government buses run from Itanagar to Ziro for a reasonable price between Rs.100 – Rs.200.
