- Police Bazaar: The bustling heart of Shillong, where local culture meets modern shopping and street food. Great for crafts, clothes and an evening stroll.
- Single Decker Living Root Bridge: A living root bridge grown from the roots of rubber trees, a remarkable piece of Khasi bio-engineering set in lush forest.
- Mawlynnong Village: Often called the cleanest village in Asia, with spotless lanes, bamboo homes and a living root bridge nearby. A glimpse into harmonious Khasi village life.
- Dawki River: The Umngot River at Dawki is so clear that boats seem to float in the air. It sits on the India–Bangladesh border and is perfect for boating and photography.
- Krang Suri Falls: One of Meghalaya’s most beautiful waterfalls, near Jowai, known for its turquoise-blue pool and peaceful surroundings.
- Phe Phe Falls: A two-tier waterfall in the West Jaintia Hills with a turquoise pool, reached by a rewarding short hike through lush forest and river crossings.

- Lyngskiar Falls: A secluded waterfall deep in the forest, reached by a refreshing hike. Untouched and calm.
- Seven Sisters Falls: One of India’s tallest waterfalls, with seven streams plunging off the cliffs near Cherrapunjee. At its most spectacular in the monsoon.
- Nohkalikai Falls: India’s tallest plunge waterfall, with a tragic local legend behind its name. The viewpoint looks straight down the drop.
- Double Decker Living Root Bridge & Rainbow Falls: In Nongriat, roots intertwined over generations form a two-level living bridge. A short walk beyond, Rainbow Falls drops into a turquoise pool where the mist often catches rainbows. A true off-grid paradise.
